Safi Safaris was established in 1995. Ever since, we've been showing people the treasures of Tanzania, the premier game-viewing and birding country on the continent. Our core staff has more than 20 years of combined experience leading and organizing safaris in Tanzania. Our aim is to provide quality safaris at reasonable prices. Because we're small, we provide personal service that you won't find in many places.

This attention to quality and service shines through, beginning with our itineraries. Our Private Tours are custom-designed safaris. These tours provide the benefits of privacy, control over your length of stay, the parks you visit, your day to day program and the accommodations you stay in. We take you to more individual and interesting places to stay, private and tented camps and privately owned lodges, as well as to the larger chains of lodges, when that is applicable. Walking tours are a special feature of our Private Tours and we have a new page Activities and Add-ons to help you make your decision as to what exactly you want to do. We naturally welcome any comments and great safari photos from our guests for inclusion in our web site and to help us improve our services.

Safi Safaris guides are what really distinguish our company from the rest of the pack. Our people know the parks, wildlife, vegetation and culture. They know the best spots to visit at different times of year, whether it's wildebeest calving on the Serengeti's short-grass plains or elephant migrations in Tarangire. And, importantly, they know how to help guests have a lot of fun on their holiday! If you want a specialist guide to travel with you throughout your safari, we can organise this as well.

Safi Safaris has a fleet of well-maintained Land Cruisers and Land Rovers, the only type of vehicles you should take on safari in Africa. These vehicles can go just about anywhere in just about any conditions. We put a maximum of five people in each vehicle. Roofs that retract or raise, and large windows ensure that every passenger has an unobstructed view.
